A minority ethnicity in China, mainly residing in mountainous areas inGuizhou, consisting of 0.2% of China’s population. With uniqueBouyei language, Batik artifacts, Pan songs, and rich culture, it is anethnicity full of the color blue.
This is an ethnicity that needs to be heard, and to be seen.
Bouyei Batik Dye
One of the most Tangible Cultural Heritages of Bouyei, itis when wax is used to create pattern on cloth, then dyedthrough bluegrass.

Bouyei Architecture
Bouyei Architecture includes unique limestone slab housesand wooden lock (mortise and tenon), suspended houses,designed this way for prevention of floods, humid air, andstorage of firewoods.

Sewed Tie Dye includes stitching and sewing patterns on acotton cloth, with or without the utilization of stones as abarrier, then dipping into bluegrass dye to create a patterned-cloth.
